WHO WE ARE

OUR MISSION

"Leading people into a transforming relationship with Jesus Christ."

We are  intentional about everything we do, that it leads you to know Jesus, understand Jesus and follow Jesus. As we walk with Jesus, He transforms us, molds us to be like Him and known by Him.

OUR VISION

We strive to be a church with a vision to reach our community with the good news of Jesus Christ -- Sharing the gospel of God's transforming love and the grace He has shown us with the gift of eternal life..

We pray for God to use us to grow His church in Cleveland through this congregation.

OUR VALUES

We highly value our relationships with one another. We look to grow through fellowship, and ultimately growing closer to God. We value the word of God, and the leadership of the Holy Spirit. We look to extend grace to all and lead those with no hope to the hope of Jesus Christ.

FOUNDATION FOR THE FUTURE

The building we worship and serve is located at the heart of the communities of Cleveland, Madison Lake, LeCenter, LeSueur and St. Peter.

Some of our members have generational roots in this area and have a heart to serve and to help their neighbors. We are part of the culture built by living in a small rural community. This takes us back to our Founding Covenant signed with names you might recognize from the area. Names like Perkins, Baker, Thayer, Rohlfing, Dickie, Hankins, Davis, Pew, Sapp and Goldsmith are just a few. But that was just the beginning, as the communities surround us have grown, we have continued to share the gospel as commanded in Matthew 28:19 and grown to include today's generation and generations to come. We walk our life-changing journey together.

This is how much God loved the world: He gave his Son, his one and only Son. And this is why: so that no one need be destroyed; by believing in him, anyone can have a whole and lasting life. God didn’t go to all the trouble of sending his Son merely to point an accusing finger, telling the world how bad it was. He came to help, to put the world right again.

John 3:16-17

WE BELIEVE

We are a nondenominational congregation that realizes we are not the only Christians, but we desire to be Christians only. This list does not constitute a creed in judging one’s salvation or faith, but to identify some of the fundamental beliefs that unite our membership.

GOD is the Creator and Sustainer of all.

Genesis 1:1

JESUS is the divine Son of God who took on human flesh as the Messiah, accomplishing God’s redemptive plan for our salvation, and will return to receive those faithful to Him.

1 Corinthians 15:1-8, John 14:1-3

THE HOLY SPIRIT dwells in each believer to guide, equip and empower them to live boldly for Jesus.

John 14:15-17

THE BIBLE is the inspired Word of God and is authoritative for all we believe and do.

2 Timothy 3:16

THE CHURCH consists of Followers of Christ of all times and places. Believers are called to identify themselves with a local congregation for support, encouragement, and service; while local spiritual leaders (elders and deacons) are appointed to guide and serve them.

Hebrews 10:25, 1 Timothy 3:1-13

TWO INHERENT ORDINANCES practiced in the early church that are pertinent yet today:  Believers Baptism by immersion in obedience and the regular sharing of the Lord’s Supper for all believers.

Acts 2:38 - 1 Corinthians 11:24-26

EVERY PERSON is created in the image of God and equally worthy of His mercy and grace. God’s infinite love has provided a way for ALL to be reconciled to Him.

Romans 3:23

CHRISTIANS are called to live Christ like lives. Discipleship calls us to grow towards maturity in Jesus:  using our gifts and abilities for God’s glory.

Ephesians 4:11-16

11 So Christ himself gave the gift of the apostles to the church. He gave the prophets and those who preach the good news. And he also gave the pastors and teachers as a gift to the church. 12 He gave all these people so that they might prepare God’s people to serve. Then the body of Christ will be built up. 13 That will continue until we all become one in the faith. We will also become one in the knowledge of God’s Son. Then we will be grown up in the faith. We will receive everything that Christ has for us.

Ephesians 4:11-13

Each of these people are committed to the Lordship of Jesus Christ, the authority of the inspired word of God and the compelling desire to fulfill the mandate of the Calling found in Ephesians 4:11-13
