Our Pastor David Kester is Promoted
July 23, 2008
With great sadness, we announce the sudden and unexpected death of our pastor, David Kester. David died of natural causes yesterday, Tuesday, July 22, 2008, at his home here in Cleveland. He was alone at the time of his death. David was born on October 1, 1957 to Roger and Velma (Churchill) Kester. He graduated from Minnesota Bible College (now named Crossroads College) in Rochester, MN. David studied for a Masters degree at Lincoln Christian Seminary in Lincoln, IL. His first ministry was at the Brookings, SD, Church of Christ. We welcomed David to Cleveland as our minister in November of 1987. We are stunned at this moment and pray for God's gracious hand to lead us where He wants us to go in the days ahead. We thank God for David Kester for he was our spiritual advisor, helper, fellow worker, friend and brother. He was a gift to us all.

Maybe one of you will get this before Sunday. I arrived after an exceedingly long journey. Arrived at our final destination at noon Saturday India time - about 42 hours travel time. I preached a couple hours ago for an hour and am now eating at Babu's home. Thinking and praying for you all. Weather is a balmy 80-85 degrees and the pineapple is great.
Pray for me,
David
